kik services!

(kik:  kids in kirk - services designed with the under 8s in mind)

Sunday 30th September at 3pm in St Ninian's we held our first kik service with a dozen youngsters.

All under 8s and their families are invited - and ALL ages are welcome. We send out invitations to those baptised in our church, as part of our way of fulfilling our promsie to help children learn of Jesus.

We hope to provide an environment where our young folk will feel at ease and will learn not only about God and Jesus but about what worshipping together is all about.

Each service will last about 20 - 30 minutes, with juice and raisins at the end.

The Paterson Rooms (used for JaM) are being renovated.
And the work is moving on!

Interior walls are now in place - lots still to do, but we are aiming to be open for the new session which starts in September.

We hope to provide two rooms so our JaM friends can spread out a bit; and to make sure they have their own safe and bright space.

Initial discussions are taking place about putting something in place for older secondary school folk. Meetings with youth workers and other churches as well as Wallacehall Secondary have taken place - we would like something to come from these meetings but we will wait and see, as well as work hard at it and try and find a way through.
Prayers welcome for this new venture.
